ALL SOUTH AFRICAN GOLD & DIAMONDS

With all the Olympic activities on the go, there was another gold or should I say diamond achievement by a South African. Nabygelegen Private Cellar had their wines paired with a delicious menu for the Queens Jubilee lunch in June 2012.

Excerpt from their press release:-

"We are extremely proud to announce that on Wednesday the 6^th June our wines were served at the Queens Jubilee Lunch at Marlboro House in London. 

Along with the Queen were representatives of the Commonwealth Heads of State
The menu for this special occasion was a starter of Brie and Avocado Terrine, a main of Wild Sea Bass and for Dessert an Apple Crumble Soufflé served with Apple Pie Ice Cream.
The Nabygelegen wines served for the day were our Chenin Blanc 2008 and our Snow Mountain Pinot Noir 2009. In an article in The Telegraph it was quoted “The meal was accompanied by South African Wines.”Not only is this a coup for Nabygelegen and Wellington but also for South Africa as Premiers from New Zealand and Australia were present at the lunch."
